Introduction
Where We Are Today
Where We Want To Go
Civil Resources met with Ms. Hensley's Student Leadership class and Ms. Otto's art class on May 2, 2008 at Highland High School. We asked students to tell us where they are from and one thing they love about their town. In the leadership class, the students then broke up into smaller groups to come up with goals and ideas regarding different components of the plan such as Economic Development, Parks, Transportation, etc. In Ms. Otto's art class we discussed what students liked about their town, what they would like to see change, etc.

| The first community workshop took place on May 15th. Participants responded to a series of questions aimed at understanding the important issues facing Nunn, what they value and want to preserve, what they want to change, and how they feel about existing services, environmental and visual qualities, the local economy, etc. Please click here to read the press release. You can learn more about the plan and keep apprised of our progress by checking this website or by reading The Nunnion, North Weld Herald and Greeley Tribune.

The second community workshop, the Nunn Planning Fiesta, took place on July 10th. Participants utilized innovative keypad polling technology to give the Planning Team feedback on preliminary ideas and concepts to be incorporated into the comprehensive plan based on feedback received at the first workshop and through the community survey. Attendees then evaluated a cumulative draft future land use plan that combined concepts from the group maps received during the first workshop, a draft vision statement for the comprehensive plan, and a set of goals for the plan.
