The Process of Creating the Ault Comprehensive Plan The process of developing the Comprehensive Plan will include a variety of methods to engage the public. We will work to include as many people as possible and make sure that we are easily accessible for questions and comments. On Friday, May 2, 2008, we held two workshops with students at Highland High School to learn about their vision for Ault, what they value about their community, and what they would like to see change. We held the first public meeting on May 12th and will hold two more public meetings to engage not only youths, but also seniors, parents, business owners, Town Staff and other interested citizens. Find out more about these upcoming public meetings by clicking on "Upcoming Events."
In addition to the public meetings, we are also distributing an anonymous community survey. The survey is available at Town Hall or on this website. Simply click on "Community Survey" to begin.
After completing the public meetings and analyzing survey responses, we will begin writing the Comprehensive Plan. We will work closely with interested citizens and Town Staff as we write the plan to ensure that it adequately represents the community's vision. A draft version of the plan will be available for public comment on this website and at Town Hall. After addressing citizen and Town Staff comments, the Planning Commission and Board of Trustees will review and adopt the Comprehensive Plan.
